It all began in 1998 when Mr. Dominic Hancock and Young Me Hancock took the decision to do something about the children in their community. Many children were at the risk of a grim future due to poverty, abuse, neglect, hunger and exploitation in the community. A home was started to provide shelter and care to the children and to ensure their holistic development. To reach out further, a school was established in 2005 to provide quality education to the children of Byrathi village. Today, under the umbrella of Child Development Centre, these projects continue to support and train children to become productive and responsible human beings.
